So, I was talking with a friend about SGA fanfic. She said she doesn’t read crackfic. This surprised me, because it feels like 90% of the fic in this fandom can fall under that category. And they’re awesome.
I mean, how can SGA not have crackfic? There’s body swapping! AUs! Doppelgängers! Clones! Life sucking vampires! And that’s all canon!
Once you take into account the craziness of fans, there’s just no way to avoid crack or crack concepts.
Not all the fic posted on this list will actually be written as traditional crack; they can be written quite seriously. I’m pretty much basing whether or not something makes it on this list by how cracked it sounds when you sum the story up into a few sentences. I’m hoping that even people, like my friend who says she doesn’t like crack, will find fic they really like on this list.
Since I’m a slasher and pretty much only read McShep, you’re going to find a lot of that pairing listed on this list but I’m not going to make this exclusively McShep, there will be other pairings, slash, het and some gen listed as well. If you feel your preferred fics are being left out, email me some suggestions and I’ll add them on.
